The Oregon Band of Brothers is made up of Central Oregon Veteran’s from every conflict since WWII. As we’ve continued to grow, meeting at different places that could accommodate our growth, we now meet at Jake’s Diner in Bend, as well as other locations in Oregon. The group started in 2009 with two Veteran’s meeting for coffee and has grown to over 800 members. Every rank and service is welcome, combat and non-combat, Active, Reserve, or National Guard, but all are equal as Veteran’s.
In addition to having breakfast or lunch together and meeting as friends, we have been instrumental in community projects, Veteran projects, helping with creation of the Veteran’s Memorial on the Newport Avenue Bridge, and the designation of Highway 97 as the ‘World War II Veteran’s Memorial Highway.
